Nancy Chen has more than 18 years of work experience in accounting and management, covering high-tech manufacturing, B2B services, e-commerce, and non-profit organizations. She currently works as part of the accounting management in a large public school district, and as a member of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) Parcel Tax Committee. Before that, she worked as the controller of an e-commerce company.
 
Outside of her work, Nancy is passionate about civic participation and community service. She is a long time Rotarian, former Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Dougherty Valley/San Ramon, and former Treasurer of Asian Pacific Islander Public Affairs (APAPA), Bay Area Region (BAR). She was one of the co-founders of APAPA, Tri-Valley chapter, where she served as the Treasurer and one of the founding Vice Presidents. Her volunteering experience also includes serving as the community outreach coordinator of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Contra Costa County (NAMI CCC).
