Immigrated to the U.S. at 16, Chyanne holds degrees from the University of California, Davis and Cornell University, and is presently advancing her Ed.D. in Global Education at the University of Illinois. A stalwart advocate for social justice with a focus on education and labor rights, she brings over 15 years of expertise in recruitment, training, conflict resolution, and program development.
Leading her consulting firm, CMC Education, Chyanne partners with prominent organizations like the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation and the Asian Pacific Islander Council. Her multifaceted role includes strategy formulation, community engagement, staff training, and curricula development to bolster community empowerment.
Beyond her work, Chyanne is an enthusiast of yoga, music, hiking, and literature.
With a Master’s degree in marketing, Julia Wu has over 18 years of acumen experience in accounting, sales, marketing, management, and executive assistant to the CEO in various sizes of corporations, up to 5000 employees, and industries. She has successfully launched new products and expanded the market share and brand globally with giant/leading companies in markets. Management of multiple projects across business units internally and industry partners externally. Strategically establishing, executing, and integrating all sales, marketing, purchasing, and vendor/partnership reshapes organizational management to maximize its influence in the market and sustain its leading position in long-term operations in the industry.
Management and utilization of multiple social media channels, both paid and organic, distribute the promotional materials and educational content across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, to increase brand awareness/influence, audience/viewer engagement, and drive the company’s website traffic internationally. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she coached/led the interns to promote a series of virtual webinars on internship/civic leadership entirely, from brainstorming, creating flyers and videos, registration and website setting, and operating social media on different platforms. At the same time, those interns also gained practical experiences through the activities.
Both an MD and a Master in Human Genetics, Qing has had many years of professional working experience in a Silicon Valley Biotech company. She has 14 years’ experience working in a local nonprofit education foundation leading and overseeing different departments and programs. Additionally, Qing is an active participant in the local community, served as a historical commissioner in the city of Los Altos for two terms and was a board member and Action/DEI Director of League of Women Voters Southwest Santa Clara Valley Chapter, and is the Director of Education in Civic Leadership Academy. She has a very strong interest and experience in education, community service, and social justice, and she possesses strong managing, communication and interpersonal skills willing to contribute to strengthening our local community.
Zhangyang Zhou is the Volunteer Coordinator for this event. She is currently an undergraduate Business Administration student at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Zhangyang has had a breadth of experiences in business and advocacy. She has previously interned at a Big 4 Accounting Firm and a Top 3 MBB Consulting Firm. Outside of her professional experience, she is the President of Global Leadership Organization at UC Berkeley and has served as the California State Director of External Affairs for Collegiate Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), both specializing in event planning and project management. She has also led a team of 10 students to provide insights and suggestions to improve student life to 5 California Senators and Congressman. Zhangyang is excited to unite members of the world for a greater cause.
